But this only grew, becoming a political and cultural movement, with the occupation of the street, with a debate about the city,&#8221; she said.<\/h3>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rioonwatch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Sebenze-que-d\u00e1-20.02.2020_Gabriel-Loiola_0063.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-58041 size-content\" title=\"Renata Souza helping a resident apply glitter to her face. We always do sign-making workshops with children about the oppressions and revindications of the favela. Our motto is &#8216;Come out into the streets, residents.&#8217; This stands in contrast to orders given by the police during police operations that say, &#8216;Get out of the streets, residents.'&#8221;<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;And our symbol is the leaf of the herb-of-grace plant, in order to protect us and shield our passage. When we said that our goal was to cross all of Mar\u00e9, some laughed and called us crazy. We suffered under the mandates of [Mayors] <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/38ktj7L\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cesar Maia<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2IsNrLj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eduardo Paes<\/a>, [Governors] <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2MKpGAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sergio Cabral<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2VIMtRQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pez\u00e3o<\/a>. We witnessed the right and wrong moves of the Lula and Dilma governments (the military occupation, for example, took place during the latter), we went through the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/3awy1Rl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">parliamentary coup<\/a> during the time of [President] Temer. And now we have Bolsonaro, who is against everything the bloco believes. This is without mentioning the epidemics of dengue and <a href=\"https:\/\/nyti.ms\/38ktKPr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coronavirus<\/a>.
