It is also the latest contribution to our year-long reporting project, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/AntiracistFavelaIntro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rooting Anti-Racism in the Favelas<\/a>: Deconstructing Social Narratives About Racism in Rio de Janeiro.\u201d Follow our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/AntiracistFavelas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rooting Anti-Racism in the Favelas series here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Based on <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3xLW4Hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vitin<\/a>&#8216;s audiovisual piece <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3q3VTWR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Vit\u00f3ria<\/em><\/a>, featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3emTZL4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GEBE<\/a> and produced in partnership with the Jacarezinho Favela Data and Narratives Laboratory (<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3nsbhtg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LabJaca<\/a>)<em>\u2014<\/em>which brings us <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3sBtGp2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">black rhymes<\/a> to the beat of Drill de D\u2019Moraes, Rap Collective <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3xSeHdu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gaza Strip<\/a>&#8216;s beatmaker<em>\u2014<\/em>this mini doc highlights the accounts of young residents from the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2YoSrKr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manguinhos<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2Mv09Nq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jacarezinho<\/a> favelas whose lives, families and projects were deeply affected by the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/2RD5IJR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coronavirus pandemic<\/a>. Their narratives are a record of this difficult period for their activities in the territories where they live. The video reveals the solutions found by young people as they live through the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/CoronavirusNasFavelas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pandemic in the favelas<\/a><em>\u2014<\/em>exacerbated by a history of <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2WKCqc5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">racism<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1SQPOTc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">neglect<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3nSeZwt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rights violations<\/a>.
